Oh, hello! My name is Val,
I have been working spirits and using magick to open roads and remove problems for over 30 years. If you had told a younger me that I would go public with my beliefs and practices, I would have balked.
However, when I was forced to confront the dark side of the spirit world, I found myself unprepared and without any outside help or resources. As a proud second generation Latino American with roots in the Rio Grande Valley, the presence of dark spirits was a reality of life, but the taboos and fear that came with it left me to deal with the situation alone and in shame. I knew I didn’t want others faced with spiritual challenges to meet the same fate.
My practice is a simple one, rooted in the magick and spirits of the home and familiar locales. I don’t use a lot of special materia or tools. I use what practitioners have had at their disposal from day one: the simple but powerful materials and objects of the garden, the hearth, the linen closet, the dust bin. Much spirit resides in the places and things close to us; the places that make us feel comfortable as well as the things that make us afraid. Learning to work with these forces opens one to a world of possibilities.
For better and worse, trying to find one’s way spiritually entails a lot of obstacles. Spiritual discovery should be difficult, but it shouldn’t make you feel like you are not enough. It should be confusing, but you shouldn’t feel alone.
I meet people where they are on their path. Everyone arrives at metaphysics with their own social anxieties, taboos, assumptions,
and aims. It is not my job to tell you what to believe, but I can help you realize what you do and do not want to pursue and why you
feel the way you do about it.
Let’s face it: there is a certain creeping feeling when you acknowledge there exist unseen things around you. It takes time to accept and get used to spiritual practices, and the timeline and depth are yours alone to decide. What I can do is help you explore what paths are right for you, provide further resources to go deeper, and provide divination and spirit consultations so you have the information you need to make your own decisions.
